Seed is usually collected from the Northern range and is 75-80% out of the cap. Seed count ranges from 150-290/lb. pending crop conditions. Seed that we collect from the more Southern range increases in size and may have only 65-70 seeds per lb. Northern range seed is smaller than Southern range sources. There are a few acorns with the caps attached - less than 10%. |
