| Comments: | Seed count ranges from 40-70 seeds per lb. pending crop year conditions. Used as an under-stock for Juglans regia as more resistant to disease problems than J. regia rootstock. Thought to have originally been J. californica and removed 11/04 back in 12/08brought/carried North by the native people of the land creating their own Northern variety of Juglans over the generations. Planted as a street tree and for edible fruit. The pistillate flowers accept stamen pollen from Juglans regia (English Walnut) to produce a nut that will grow the "Paradox" seedling. |
