Comments: |
Damaged by late freezes. Seed quality in recent years has been much lower and we have lowered our minimum expected germination range. Japanese source true to type but more expensive. We are told the seed is used to produce phytophthora resistant root-stock to graft Abies fraseri on to. Abies firma is now being used as a root-stock that enables the Southern US to grow other species of Abies that until recently was impossible. Drought and wet foot resistant. |
Germination info: |
Seed requires 30-60 days cold moist stratification. |

A Trial Packet contains a minimum of 5 - 30 seeds depending on the size of the selected seed.
