Seed per pound ranges from 550-795 . Sow in deep pot as fast growing tap root grows very quickly and if in a shallow pot will strike bottom and may be damaged. Seed may take 2-3 months to germinate.. Sowing temperature is best between 77-86 Deg. F. Endosperm is white to yellowish and very hard. Some growers sow in a mixture of peat moss and sand. |
