Comments:	Seed is collected from yellow-fruited grafted cultivars. Seeds shipped moist. Improved fruit flavor. Do not over-dry seed. Seed dried below 15% moisture will die. Seedlings require shade the first year. Seed exposed to temperatures below 10 degrees F may be damaged and experience reduced germination %. Seed germination is slow and may take 2-3 months. Sub freezing soil temperatures killing the seeds may be the limiting factor for the Northern native range of this species. Flowers last for two weeks and are pollinated by flies.
