Comments: Seed collected from grafted blue needled balsam plantation. High nitrogen levels help keep the blue color in the needles. The blue color is from the wax on the needles. A large percentage of the seedlings will exhibit degrees of the blue needled characteristics.
Germination info: Seed requires 30-45 days cold moist stratification. Seed lab does a 63 day cold stratification to test the seed germination.
