Good germination has been achieved by soaking the seed in water at 40 Deg. F for24 hours prior to sowing. This lends us to think that a shorter cold moist stratification may do fine. These trees are used for sand retention at the Golden Gate Park in CA in an ocean exposed sight. Salt tolerant . |
