Stored seed may benefit from a short cold moist stratification prior to sowing. A short stratification of 30 days did increase the germination % by 25% on a recent seed lot. (w/o stratification was 53% and with 30 days cold was 73%) Seed is de-winged. Seed frozen for 30 years germinates well. |
