Comments: North Carolina seed is collected in Mountains of NC where min. winter Temperature is -20 to - 30 degrees F. This seed is usually collected in TN & SC. Southern range seed is more prone to cold temperature damage than Northern range seed. South of the Appelachians sources tend to grow faster and continue shoot elongation later into the Fall.
Germination info: Seed requires 30-45 days cold moist stratification. Best germination results with 45 days cold moist stratification.
