Seed collected from an isolated population on the sand dunes of Cape Cod. All flowers are Pink. Leaves are pointed at the end but still palustris as the characteristics of the two varieties overlap in the Northern range where you switch from var. moucheutos to var. palustris. Pink flower color, pointed leaf. Plant top dies back every year only to sprout the following Spring and produce large flowers by late Summer. Seed collected from Pink color parents so seedlings will be Pink. |
