Comments: Southern source seed germinate best in a soil temperature of 70 Deg. F while Northern source seed germinates best in a soil temperature of 55 Deg. F. So , if you sow Northern source too late in the Spring after the soil has warmed (or in a warm greenhouse) you will have lower germination rates. Very shade tolerant. Seed collected in Northern range.
Germination info: Seed requires 60-120 days cold moist stratification.
